Thomas A Fyffe II
Raised in Phoenix, Arizona, Thomas spent his childhood playing baseball, hunting, fishing, and camping, as well as assisting his family with construction work. After graduating from Barry Goldwater High School, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 2001. During his service, he was fortunate to form enduring bonds with individuals he considers his brothers and sisters.
Post his Marine Corps tenure in 2010, Thomas was recruited by Lee Starrett to join Janus International, an industry leading, local steel subcontractor. From 2010 to 2016, he learned construction management fundamentals at Janus Intl while attending the Del E. Webb School of Construction at Arizona State University.
Graduating Summa cum laude with his B.S. in Construction Management from the Del E. Webb School of Construction, Thomas joined Willmeng Construction as a Project Engineer. Under the tutelage of exceptional mentors, he advanced to Operations Manager, leading a team on significant projects before partnering with Lee Starrett to create Innovative Building Partners, LLC. Throughout his career, Thomas forged strong relationships with trade partners, clients, and community members across the Phoenix Metropolitan area.
Dedicated to giving back, Thomas volunteers for organizations he's passionate about (details can be found in our company's partnerships section). Outside of work, he enjoys the outdoors and cherishing moments with his family and friends.
Lee Starrett
Holding a Business Management Degree, Lee Starrett boasts over two decades of experience as a trusted advisor and team leader across various sectors of the construction industry. His expertise spans construction supply retail, manufacturing, general contracting, and notably, as a specialty subcontractor with extensive knowledge of the self-storage industry.
Lee also dedicates his time as a board member of the Arizona Self Storage Association. Alongside other members, he addresses the needs of local self-storage community owners and operators by lobbying with local government on industry-related bills and organizing annual conferences and networking events.
With a career encompassing numerous roles in estimating, project management, and business development, Lee has demonstrated a consistent pattern of growth and success in every company he has served.
Born in Denver, Colorado, Lee has been an Arizona resident for over 30 years. He, along with his wife relishes raising their two daughters in North Peoria. His leisure activities include family camping trips, supporting his daughters' sports events, and engaging in basketball, golf, and fishing.
A cause dear to Lee is the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Following his mother's passing from AML in 2017, Lee and his family annually contribute to raising funds for blood-cancer research, honoring her memory.
